Chars & stages: Universal reading

Some authors in the world mugen like to save the chars and stages under mode 1.0 or 1.1. Usually this is used when you want to preserve more colors or use a specific code in programming.

However in some cases it is not necessary to save the char or stage in 1.0 or 1.1 mode. Although it may seem incredible, some users can not switch computers so easily. Soon winmugen is the best option for them.

The author of mugen when sharing his material should ponder these situation. Some countries are experiencing serious financial and inflationary crises. So switching a PC will stay for when it's possible.

To avoid this situation and at the request of a friend, the orion friend will show you how to save chars and stages in universal mode. So your char or stage will work on the three mugens. (Winmugem, mugen 1.0 and mugen 1.1)

I use the program fighter factory. In the tutorial of conversion of stages of the friend Orion I leave a version available. Open the program and choose a stage.

Select sprite and then save as ... (The version of the friend Orion is in Portuguese, if you have difficulties look the version English in the internet.)




The selected beta mugen is the universal reading for all mugens. But this process only works with Sprites. If a unique code of version 1.0 or 1.1 occurs (they are rare and little used, but they exist), reprogram the char in the line with the indicated error by engine mugen.
